Cyclone Nargis left scars in hearts throughout our nation in 2008, and when Hud Hud hit us, we were taken aback and knocked out again, becoming the second strongest tropical cyclone of 2014 within the North Indian Ocean as well as the most destructive tropical cyclone in the basin since Nargis in 2008.
At this point of national turbulence, V-Guard took the decision to take it as a national responsibility and donated an amount of Rs.10,00,000 to the Prime Ministers National Relief Fund on 22nd September 2014 to be utilized for Kashmir flood Relief and the Hud Hud Cyclone relief.
In India, a frequently discussed social issue has been of cleanliness. With the onset of the Swachh Bharat Campaign, V-Guard partnered with Radio Mango and reached out to the future of the nation, i.e. college students, by framing a contest with attractive prize money as incentive.
